I was looking for solutions that fit well with my setting and were inexpensive (preferred free) and here's what I came up with. I had several projects which I was working on around the house and was able to use mostly reclaimed material. Jackpot!! So I got busy planning and getting crafty.
No more eye sore!
My version to an old idea, I like the horizontal lines.
I used reclaimed fence pickets and 2x2's from a section of my old fence that I replaced.
A little more support, 1x2 furing strips, a few new pickets (for the top) and paint.
Easy to remove, just lift up slightly to free the legs and lean forward.
It does need a little freshening up after two years. Hmmm... another to do.
From here the Electrical Box...
Finally a solution for this.. lovely. A wood screen created from scrap pieces lumber. Its three sided and slides easily around the electrical box leaving the open side facing the corner of the yard.
Add some stain and a plant on top, you can't even tell I used different types of wood to complete this.
The best thing... it was free!
